Joe's Birthday Is Coming Soon

My hubby’s birthday is this coming weekend and I am planning to have a Korean dinner. He likes some of the Korean food and that’s what we are having. I am thinking a Bibimbap, Hot and Spicy soup and others. I never cook such recipes before and I am hoping it will be a successful one.

I am baking three kinds of cakes too and bake some of his favorite’s sweets like rum balls and snow cookies. I will be very busy soon but I need to get better first and save all the energy for cooking and baking. Everyone is invited to the party, just leave a message or call me on my cell before Friday.

Faucet

The kid‘s were complaining about the flow of their faucet in the bathroom after I unscrewed the tip of it. I’ve tried to fixed it several times but it looks like I’ve ruined it. Oh well, there’s nothing I can do about it but to buy a replacement.

Acne Treatment

Every time I get really stressed out, I get rashes all over my skin and big pimples on my face. It’s pretty frustrating and I don’t now what’s causing it. I hate to look at myself on the mirror when I have pimples all over my face, I feel like a freak and I want it gone. I really need a good acne treatment that I can use daily. I am very picky of acne medicines because I have sensitive skin. Hopefully, I will find the perfect acne treatment very soon that will work on my skin type. Do you have any suggestions?

Sugar High

I’m supposed to see my doctor for my annual check-up but I’m too lazy to do it. I checked my glucose count this morning and it’s pretty high and alarming. No wonder I feel like crap, dizzy and sometimes disoriented. I really need to pull myself up or ask Joe to drag me out to see the doctor ‘wink’. I admit that I am not taking care of myself lately. I am frustrated and a bit depressed for our financial situation right now. Still no job and money is getting tighter and tighter. I hope God will answer some of our prayers very soon before we will lose our minds.

Home Business

I had a good chat with my sister on the phone the other day and we’re seriously thinking on opening a home business for extra income. We have some ideas in mind but we don’t know where to start with. Sick Again

I miss blogging a lot. I hate being sick and cannot do anything but lying around and wait to feel better. Joe just came back from Kentucky and I’m glad so he can watch the boys and I can relax better. I have so much house chores and errands to do today but I promised not to over do anything. Anyway, I really don’t have much to say…life still hectic (no luck in job hunting, worried sick, bored, tired, frustrated and a bit depressed). The election is coming very soon and hopefully after the big event things will get better for us.

Fall Vacation

Our three days vacation to the North Carolina was a fun one. We did a lot of things with the kids and my in-laws. I’m kind a miss the blogging world but never bothered to blog even the internet connection is available. We went to Cataloochee and saw some elks up-closed…we’ve wish we could stay longer but we arrived very late but we are planning to go back one day and finish the tour and go horse back riding. My father in-law told us that they have good horse trails.

The kid’s enjoyed their fall vacation at the mountain. We took them to the coolest park and had picnic and the following night we camp-out and roast marshmallows. It was fun and I’m glad we’ve all enjoyed the short vacation. I hope we can do it more often.

Some info from nps.gov:

Cataloochee Valley is nestled among some of the most rugged mountains in the southeastern United States. Surrounded by 6000-foot peaks, this isolated valley was the largest and most prosperous settlement in what is now the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Once known for its farms and orchards, today Cataloochee is one of the most picturesque areas of the park.

The challenge is getting there. From most places it requires a fairly long trip on winding, gravel roads. However, the roads are well-maintained and fine for passenger cars.

Job Hunting

I’ve talked to some of my Filipino friends last weekend and I was very surprised that were almost in the same boat “laid off and job hunting”. We are all depressed, desperate and no idea what will happen on next few months. With our economy crisis right now, our chances to get a job are very slim. Hubby is seriously thinking on re-enlisting and going back to the army or coast guard service. I am not too crazy about the idea but what I can do if it’s the only option left for us to do to be able to eat and have roof on our heads. He keeps on asking me if his doing the right decisions and I feel sad because its one question that I cannot answer right. I just hope that God will not leave us on this battle.

Rain Rain, Go Away

Our trip to North Carolina was postponed because hubby has an appointment to the National Guard recruiter tomorrow. I don’t feel like going anywhere anymore and I wish we can stay home instead. My mood (excited) has already subsided, especially that is now raining like crazy. We’ve talked to my in-laws this morning and it’s raining there too.

It’s pretty boring today and I wish I have something interesting things to do besides watching TV and blog whole day. The kids are on break and their getting wild too being stuck in the house. I might ask hubby to take them to the mega maze later this afternoon and let them play till` they drop (tired).

Calamansi

A friend dropped by the other day and brought me a bag of calamansi from her garden. The kids still have the colds and she thought it might help. We always use calamansi if we have cold or cough “Vitamin C” in the Philippines. I love calamansi juice and I can even eat them raw with a bit of salt.

I remember that my late grandfather has a plantation of calamansi before and every summer we go visit him and helps in harvesting. I miss my grandfather so much and I am still wishing that his alive, so he can see his great grand children’s. We knew that his in heaven now watching and guiding us. We miss you Tatay Deigo.

Pool Floats

The kids were upset to me when I depleted their kiddy pool and pool floats the other day. We still have warm weather days left but I’ve decided to take everything down because any moment we will be moving out from this house. We still don’t have any news from Joe’s old company about the relocation but his busy hunting for job and did couple of job interviews already. Hopefully, we will find something to do very soon. We are crossing our fingers and hoping for a better life. Its kind a frustrating but we are not giving up and we will continue living as normal as it can be for our kids sake.

hanging around

When my youngest son was still little, He loved to hang on my fridge door. The boy is not only a trouble maker but also a tornado boy and Conan the destroyer. He is the sweetest as it can be that you don’t want to put your hand on him. They always says that 2 years old is terrible but his worse than terrible “I think”…hahhaha! He is 4 years old now and getting worse. I hope he will settle down soon like his older brother. He is a handful and nobody wants to volunteer and baby-sits.Will you dear?

Diet Pills

I was chatting with my friends online with our web camera on. We’re all laughing and looking at each other and cannot stop on teasing about our weight. I’ve gained a bit of weight since January and I am now struggling to get rid of the extra pounds. I really need to pull myself up and go back to my daily exercise routine and maybe look for diet pills that works. I don’t have much to lose, so I am hoping I will get back in shape quickly and easily. Wish me luck.

Wholesale

We have 80 days and 7 hours (my time) until Christmas and that how much time we have to shop around for gifts for our love ones. I am one of those early shoppers who love big sales, bargains, deals and discounts. I love to shop early to avoid big crowds and pricey tags.

I was surfing online for gifts and stumbled on wholesale and surplus auctions by liquidators. I thought the site is perfect for people who love to buy in bulk for business or gifts. They have all kind of quality and affordable products such as: clothing, accessories, computers and networking, electronics, housewares, tools and machinery, jewelries and many more to choose from. You should check it out and tell me what you think.

Reputation

A blogger friend sent me another test about “Do You Have a Bad Girl Reputation? “ And here is my result and answers.

I have pretty good reputation and I am keeping it for as long as I can. I never committed any crimes or had any misbehavior “I think”…I am your typical girl but bit mysterious and you’re probably spend some time to figure me out. Some people are attracted to my intriguing persona and I have no idea why.

I am not popular at school or to anything, but I am not an ordinary either that you can pick on or push around. I am simple, easy to get along “ as long you’re interesting enough”, down to earth, friendly “to some”, silly “sometimes”, and etc., I believe I wrote too much about me already, so I will stop here now and let me be as mysterious as it can be ‘wink’.

Best Acne Treatment

We went to the International market last weekend and I‘ve bought a box of these mangoes from Thailand. I was looking for the carabao variety but I believe they don’t carry it anymore. I love mangoes and I indulge them all year round in the Philippines. Mangoes are cheaper on summer and a bit pricey around this month to January. The kids like mangoes too and they can eat them anytime if it’s available. I am planning to drive down to the market this weekend and hopefully they still have crates of mangoes for sale. I better stop thinking about mangoes and start looking for the best acne treatment available online. I have bad breakouts and I need acne medicine that works fast now.

Orovo Detox

My youngest son has a bad allergy and he has been suffering from swollen eyes lately. He went home one day from school with sw0llen eyes that almost looks like someone’s had beaten him. I need to take him to the pediatrician once again and see of they can give him something he can take daily, juts like my eldest son who is now in medication.

The weather is getting cooler down here and flu season is just around the corner. I need to check with our doctor and see if' they've still have flu shots available. I have so many errands to do and I hate to drag myself around town. I better get out now and check about that orovo detox online. See you later.
